Samsung Galaxy Quantum 5

Samsung has released the Galaxy Quantum 5, a particularly secure variant of Galaxy A55 model to the South Korean market. Together with its partners, the SK Telecom and ID Quantique, Samsung has integrated the Quantum 5 with a security chip that employs quantum cryptography to improve the device’s protection from cyber-threats.

ID Quantique rescues Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) an integrated chip that actually employs quantum mechanics to produce random numbers. In contrast to the usually used random number generators that allow external interference, QRNGs generate random and unpredictable numbers. These numbers are then used in the encryption/decryption of data such as biometrics or passwords in the communication systems. Apart from the physical integration of the QRNG chip, the device is just another Galaxy A55/Personal Computation Device as seen above.
