To verify your mobile devices PTA status via SMS follow these simple steps.
Steps to Verify PTA Status by SMS:
Find Your IMEI Number:
By simply dialing *#06# on ones mobile phone will be rewarded. Write down the IMEI number(s) which are shown on a screen with this number.
Send an SMS:
Locate the built-in application of sms on the phone by-. Click on the icon of the application. A message body should contain somebody’s IMEI number typed by you. To use this service, send the written SMS with text containing the necessary information to number 8484.
Receive Verification:
PTA will reply you with the status of your device. The message will further show whether your device is compliant, non-compliant or blocked.
Possible Responses:
Compliant:
This device has undergone PTA certifying and as such can be used on all the networks in Pakistan.
Non-compliant:
PTA stand for Pakistan Telecommunication Authority that your device isn’t recognized by them and you may need to either register it or pay the necessary amount of tax.
Blocked:
Your devise is forbidden and cannot be utilized in Pakistan if you will not make further actions like to pay the tax or register the device.
This SMS method I find as one of the easiest and fastest approach of confirming the PTA status of your Mobile device.
